We will begin the day with a drive from Tel Aviv through Jerusalem to the border with Jordan. Once inside Jordan, we’ll proceed to Jerash - city of the Decapolis, located about 45 kilometers north of Amman in the fertile heights of Gilead. Next, we’ll visit an ancient Roman city that contains colonnaded streets, baths and a hill top temple. From there, we’ll continue on to Amman for a tour of the Jordan’s capital city. Overnight in Amman 

After breakfast, we’ll leave the hotel and ride on horseback to the Siq (Canyon). From there, we’ll proceed on foot to Petra - known as Sela Edom (red rock). Petra was the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the second century BC to the second century AD. Next, we’ll visit historic monuments such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (located at the site of a Nabatean king’s tomb), ancient obelisks and an altar (Al Madhbah). From this point you’ll be able to see the entire city of Sela Edom. From there, we’ll head to Wadi Musa village and then drive back to Amman* for the night.

We’ll begin with a ride to Madaba where you’ll see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land as well as historical sites and ruins. Next, we’ll head out to Mt. Nebo, located approximately 10 kilometers away. Mt. Nebo is the place from where Moses first cast his eyes upon the Promised Land. From there you have the opportunity to see the Jordan Valley, Jericho and Dead Sea. This busy continues with a visit to the remains of a Byzantine church that contains a remarkably well-preserved mosaic floor. We’ll wrap things up with a drive back to the border, continuing through Jerusalem until we arrive in Tel Aviv.
